Premier VFX and design studio Asylum nabbed the award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Video Game Trailer for Halo 3: ODST, The Life at last night’s 8th Annual VES Awards. Done in collaboration with MJZ’s Rupert Sanders and T.A.G, the live-action short captures the evolution of Tarkov, a ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper), from his initiation and training as a soldier to his perilous experience on the battlefield as a true warrior.
Asylum honorees include VFX Supervisor/Lead Compositor Rob Moggach, CG Supervisor Jens Zalzala, EP Michael Pardee, and Producer Ryan Meredith.
