TEAK Takes a Pass at Bear Naked

On the heels of their recently launched multimedia campaign introducing Google’s highly anticipated Nexus One smartphone, SF-based content creation specialists TEAK continue their longstanding relationship with Amazon Advertising by completing a :60 banner ad promoting Bear Naked Granola cereal. TEAK handled production, editorial and post for the ad, which features rotating scenes set against a startling variety of terrain and a large cast playing parts as diverse as a firefighter, a skateboarding teenager, and a suburban mom.

Passing features a sequence of scrolling screen shots, each focusing on a distinct character munching from a bag of Bear Naked Granola cereal while standing in one of a number of unique settings, which range from urban parks to beaches to nature trails. To the right of this scene, the next screen shot waits in queue. Once the character has enjoyed their snack, they appear to pass the bag into the next screen, their shot slides away, and a new snacker-in-waiting appears to the right, against another totally unique backdrop.

The plethora of characters and scenes is a testament to TEAK’s seamless production and post capabilities. “We’ve been working with Amazon for several years now, so they knew they could count on us to deliver on many levels when they conceptualized this visually diverse project,” noted TEAK Founder and EP Greg Martinez. “We’ve built a multifaceted crew that’s able to expertly handle production, editorial, post, and just about anything else from concept to final cut.”
