‘We really wanted a look that plays to the key sensibilities of Travel Channel programming,’ said Dave Falcone, Vice President/Creative Director of Marketing for Discovery Communications Inc. (DCI) ‘This package truly reflects the channel new vision of not only seeing the world, but experiencing it.’
Concrete Pictures developed and created logo bugs, network IDs, bumps, promo packaging, navigation packaging, in-show graphics, show opens and tailored show graphics. The company also collaborated with renowned brand strategist Lee Hunt to analyze Travel Channel break structure and recommend new tactics for messaging, and teamed with LA agency davidandgoliath on the over-arching brand positioning.
‘This was a very gratifying project,’ said Matt Hall, Concrete Pictures’s Creative Director. ‘The programming inherently exotic nature gave us a rich palette from which to work, and we ultimately came up with a design package that not only addresses Travel Channel on-air needs, but also moves its brand forward.’
