FrameCycler DI Goes to Framestore CFC

IRIDAS, the industry leader in uncompressed playback and review technologies, announced today the sale to Framestore CFC of two seats of FrameCycler DI. The application provides disk-based, full-resolution playback; conform of Edit Decision Lists (EDLs) for online review of the editors’ work; primary color grading for look development; and IRIDAS’ new ReviewLink technology for interactive review session from multiple locations.

“We’re excited about FrameCycler DI’s capabilities for remote review of high resolution content,” said Tim Keene, VFX Producer at Framestore CFC. “The fact that even files of different sizes or formats can be synched for review is another big positive for us. It means we can even do interactive dailies with people from a laptop on location while we view the original full res 2K frames here in London.”

FrameCycler DI’s color capabilities will also be put to use at Framestore CFC. “Another plus are the .look files,” added Keene. “This is a very useful way for us to receive color grading indications from production which we can playback with FrameCycler, and pass on to our compositors as a reference.”

“We’ve been admirers of Framestore CFC’s work for some time and we’re delighted to be working with them,” said Lin Kayser, IRIDAS CEO. “FrameCycler DI will create new efficiencies for Framestore by allowing them to collaborate more closely on a daily basis with their colleagues in London and overseas.”
