On May 25th, Final Cut Editor Carlos Arias was honored with the Best Editor in Comedy win at the AICE Awards for his work on the Match.com ?‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Andrea’s spot. The hilarious spot was directed by Peter Chelsom of Independent Media and created by Hanft Raboy and Partners.
In ?‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Andrea,’s a guy at a football game strips down to his underwear and streaks down the bleachers and into the field where he dashes past the players to the end zone. There, he falls to his knees and screams ?‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Andrea!’s into the TV cameras while a message painted on his chest reads, ?‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Forgive Me Andrea.’s As the half-naked man is tackled by a football player Andrea is at home with her girlfriends eating ice cream and staring with bewilderment at the screen. In the closing shot, the man still shrieking at the cameras is dragged off the field by two referees.
“This was a great project to work on because of the caliber of people involved,” says Carlos Arias. “There was such an open and collaborative approach with the director, Peter Chelsom, and the agency creatives at Hanft Raboy. I am honored to have won this recognition from my colleagues in the industry.’
