Ice Age 3 : Dawn of the Dinosaurs Trailer

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is the third instalment of the Ice Age film series. This trailer opens amidst a snow blizzard with Scrat still trying to reach the ever elusive acorn. As he struggles against snow drifts and howling winds he suddenly notices his prize possession ahead. The loveable saber toothed squirrel makes several desperate attempts to reach his acorn but eventually becomes frozen in ice.

Managing to open his eyes, he is able to lean himself forward to grasp hold of the stalk and successfully pulls his beloved nut out of the ground, unknowingly releasing warm gases from the ground. Feeling around with his foot, he discovers hot air has thawed the ice leaving a huge hole beneath his feet. With the adored nut held in his arms, Scrat falls through the ice into a tropical world below.

During his fall through the cavernous depths beneath the ice , the temperature rises and the world around Scrat becomes colourful. After hitting some trees, and loosing his grip on the acorn Scrat eventually comes to a stop at the end of a dark scaly root like object . The root moves and rises and suddenly Scrat is face to face with a Tyrannosaurus rex.

The sub-zero heroes from the international animated blockbusters “Ice Age” and “Ice Age: The Meltdown” are back, on an incredible adventure. Manny and Ellie are awaiting the birth of their mini-mammoth; Diego the Saber-Toothed tiger wonders if he’s growing too ‘soft’ hanging with his pals; and Sid the sloth gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs.

Whilst on a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with Dinosaurs. The film is being produced by Blue Sky Studios and will be distributed by 20th Century Fox. The plot will pick up where Ice Age 2: The Meltdown left off.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is due for release July 2009.
